That includes a pair of wolves roaming in Umatilla and Morrow counties.<\/p>\n<p>ODFW instituted a new AKWA when two separate groups of two wolves were confirmed to be on the eastern portion of the Heppner Unit in those two counties. Referred to as the Heppner wolves, they will be monitored. It\u2019s not known if the wolves have bred.<\/p>\n<p>During the winter count, biologists also observed OR-60, originally from the Ruckel Ridge Pack, is now in Umatilla County. At this time the wolf appears to be alone.<\/p>\n<p>Further east, ODFW reports that a new group of wolves was discovered after a depredation in the Wallowa Valley of Wallowa County.
